WyreForestSchool

Activities

Russell House opened in September 2014 and offers term time weekly boarding for up to sixteen pupils from Wyre Forest School.

Activities

Pupils at Russell House have access to a range of activities which can enhance their life experiences. Although not all activities are compulsory, pupils are encouraged to try new activities that may link with their educational needs and targets and promote independence.

Fun offsite activities include: swimming, bowling, walks, visits to local parks and the West Midlands Safari Park. In addition to these, educational/social experiences such as shopping, eating out and accessing local clubs are also promoted. Developing independent living skills forms part of pupils' long term goals and are an area of focus for termly targets. In addition, there are many activities both in Russell House and the main school campus that pupils have access to. These include: sensory rooms, onsite cinema room, WiiU games console, board games, art and craft, pedal go-carts and scooters, table tennis, therapy pool, etc.

The residential provision is a vibrant place. Each child has access to a range of activities.
