Welcome

Welcome to Wyre Forest School. We are a specialist school for children aged 4 to 19 SLD and PMLD whose needs cannot be met in mainstream. We also have Russell House, a 16-bed weekly boarding unit.

We work tirelessly to meet the needs of all the children, so they develop and progress academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our values of enthusiasm, resilience, honesty, teamwork, and trust shine out from all that we do. We have an exciting bespoke Pathway curriculum which is broad and balanced and makes use of our specialist facilities, including soft play, dark room, sensory rooms, vocational hub, hydropool, and gym with rebound facilities. The communication team at WFS provides ongoing support and training in school, to parents and provides outreach training.

We welcome visits to our school and urge people to make an appointment with the school office.

Above all, we are a happy school where staff and pupils want to be, to challenge and develop on a daily basis.

Visitors always comment on how warm and friendly our school is and what amazing relationships staff have with the pupils and each other – we call it our "Wyre Forest Family".
